You’ve seen them in magazine ads, on television commercials and on the road. Honda is one of the world’s best known and respected automotive brands. The company behind the cars is Honda Motor Company, Ltd., a multinational corporation based in Minami-Aoyama Nichome, Minato, Tokyo, Japan. Honda designs, develops, manufactures and sells popular vehicles such as the Accord, the Civic, the CRV and many others. Honda cars are driven in many different parts of the world.

Ford Sells Volvo Cars to Chinese Company

In March of 2010, the Ford Motor Company reached an agreement with a Chinese company to sell the Volvo brand. Ford purchased Volvo Cars from Volvo AB back in 1999. Volvo AB shares the brand name with Ford and produces heavy vehicles under the brand name.
When Ford bought the company in 1999 they paid a total of $6 billion, but the sale Volvo Cars to the Zhejiang Geely Holding Group will only get them a total of $1.8 billion. Ford has been divesting itself of many car brands lately as the company implements a new strategy where it begins to focus more on the company’s core brands.

Production Of Toyota Camry Now Starts In China

Let the production start. That would be for Toyota Camrys that would be actually built in China. The Toyota Camrys that would be built in this country would be done in cooperation with the Guangzhou Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. or more commonly known as GTMC which actually is a joint vehicle production and sales company of both Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. and Toyota.
The production of this Toyota sedan has already started and as part of it all, there was a celebration and ceremony for a good business ahead. The ceremony were attended by approximately 1,400 people. The whole throng of attendees included local and central government officials, Japanese government officials, a variety of suppliers and dealers, and people from the media. Also there were Guangzhou Automobile Chairman Zhang Fangyou, Toyota Motor Company President Katsuaki Watanabe, and GTMC President Toru Kuzuhara, as well as the GTMC’s Executive Vice President Yuan Zhongrong.
