U.S. Auto Manufacturers Are They Ready To Declare Bankruptcy?

U.S. auto manufacturers are facing more pressure from import manufacturers every year. They have already been feeling the heat from Nissan, Toyota and Honda, but now with Hyundai taking a larger chunk of the middle and lower range cars, SUV’s and trucks this may be the start of the end of the likes of Ford and G.M.

Ford has already announced a restructuring and a projected cut of 30,000+ jobs. G.M. has recently retired an old name brand Oldsmobile and is posting losses on a regular basis. Delphi Corp., the largest auto parts supplier for U.S. manufacturers has already declared bankruptcy which makes buyers leary of future parts availability. Most of the other parts suppliers are very close to or are currently declaring bankruptcy.

The development of the auto parts industry is particularly important for the quality of vehicles and innovation in China’s own brand. However, the closed development pattern has restricted the development of strategic partnership between the vehicle enterprises and the auto parts companies. Will You Buy a Car When it is Not Necessary?

Nowadays almost everyone has got a mobile phone. Now many people in my city have got a car, and more and more of people start to think about buying it, even a car is not so necessary to some of us. Many people have not so many chances for outside going, as work has taken them lots of time; but cars, just like big houses, it is something like to become a symbol of social status, so we buy it like a diamond, a nice watch. I do not know, it is something that is happening around me.

Everyday I go to work or go home, I see the cars crowding in the road, and my motor bicycle is faster than them, and I am thinking, is a car really so necessary for all of us with the public transportation being not so poor? China has a big huge population, if every family got a car like we have got a mobile phone, how terrible the situation would be. So will you buy a car when it is not so totally necessary?
