2007 Chery Fulwin

While you don’t usually hear much about sports cars that are made in China, the 2007 Chery Fulwin just may change that. Although the car is still only a concept car, it very well may be the car that takes China into the real of sports car production. This car is very light weight, and only weighs in at about 2650 pounds. Combine that with a nice 1.6 L engine that puts out 100 lb-ft of torque and you have a car that will definitely be quite speedy. The new Chery Fulwin is much different from the boxy car of the past, and now boasts some smoother curves and a new design that is much more modern than before.

The 2007 Chery Fulwin was recently shown at the Beijing Motor Show and was definitely quite a hit. In fact, it was stated that it was actually one of the hottest vehicles to be shown at this show. The name Fulwin, actually translates to mean “wind cloud” and the car definitely looks like it could go like the wind. It combines together some very sharp lines with some slight curves that make it have a very eye catching look. The Chery company is wanting to see this car produced, and they may even give low cost cars, such as KIA a run for their money in the future.

Local Bearings For the Automobile Industry

Through 50 years’ development, especially the sustained, rapid and stable development after the reform and opening up policy, China Bearing Industry has formed a large scale of production. After 1990, economic sectors of China Bearing Industry had undergone profound changes. Many state-owned enterprises made considerable progresses. They are still the backbone of the bearing industry. Due to the flexible systems, the fair market competition, the country’s reform and opening up policy and the favorable locations, many private enterprises in Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces develop rather quickly and expand their business in a short period of time. They take up most of the general bearing market and some of them try their best to enter the market for high-end products.

Meanwhile, world’s major bearing companies have entered China to form the joint ventures. Besides, the private companies get much progress. Chery Automobiles: China’s Auto War Begins

China is laying plans at this very moment to begin shipment of passenger vehicles to the North American market by mid 2007. Chinese automobile manufacturer, Chery, yes read that again… the company sounds strangely like Chevy, is looking at bringing not just one, but a whole fleet of low cost production vehicles to our shores. Proposed prices will astound you and could potentially bring the U.S. auto market to its knees. Don’t think for even one moment that Japanese and Korean automakers will be immune from this flood of low cost cars. Chery vehicles have been designed – some say stolen – from current Asian models and will compete directly against the likes of Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and Hyundai. China’s long awaited war with the US – at one time expected to begin with a Red Army attack on Taiwan — may be fought on an economic front instead.

Chery, a state-owned car producer formed in China’s eastern Anhui Province, is currently building a number of cars in China including the QQ – a compact car strangely similar to the Daewoo Spark [GM' Korean division], as well as several sedans and a compact SUV. Indeed, recent charges made by Toyota, GM, and Honda have all alleged that Chery mimicked or outright stole designs from at least one of each automaker’s vehicles including the Honda CR-V. For the record, the Toyota case was rejected, Honda is still attempting to work out a solution with their case, and GM recently dropped its suit after the Chinese automaker agreed not to sell their cars in the US under the Chery name which GM has stated is too close to the Chevy name. Chinese courts have also ruled that the Daewoo Spark design was not registered in China, so GM dropped its suit.
